What Is Deep Link?

A URL that opens a specific screen inside a mobile app, or falls back to App Store / web if the app isn't installed.

Deep links are the mobile equivalent of web URLs — they point at specific content inside an app. Two flavors: URL Scheme (myapp://product/123) is older and unreliable; Universal Links (on iOS, via Apple App Site Association) or App Links (on Android) are modern and properly fall back to the web. Critical for marketing (click an email, open in app), virality (share content, recipient opens in your app), and group dynamics (invite a friend to a group).

Common Questions

Do no-code platforms support Universal Links?
Most do — Rork and FlutterFlow support it natively, Adalo via workarounds. Bubble is more limited.
Why do I need deep links?
Without them, marketing URLs either force users out to the web or fail awkwardly. Critical for apps with shareable content.
