What Is App Review Time?

The time Apple takes to review an app submission before approving or rejecting it, typically 24-48 hours in 2025-2026.

Apple publishes current review times at developer.apple.com/support/app-review/. Median is around 24 hours; 90% of apps are reviewed within 48 hours. First-submission apps (especially from new developer accounts) can take longer. Updates are usually faster. If review is taking unusually long, you can request an expedited review for time-sensitive reasons — Apple grants these sparingly. Google Play review is usually faster (hours) for established accounts but requires a 7-14 day initial review for new developer accounts.
